We are looking for a Communication Specialist who will work to develop, oversee, and participate in the implementation of communication efforts in support of Unity Christian High School.
The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and energized by variety in their workday, dedicated to presenting high-quality work and willing to be directed by Unity's vision, mission, and beliefs.
An individual with diverse experience in multiple communication platforms, both online and in print, is desired.
Responsibilities:
Effectively use different methods of communication (written, video, online, etc.
) to inform and update Unity community members to promote and support Unity's mission.
Develop and implement marketing strategies that tell Unity's story.
Write and/or edit newsletters, articles, social media posts, and promotional materials as directed.
Manage and update the Unity website.
Job Requirements:
A minimum of three years of experience is desired but not necessary in the fields of communications and marketing.
An analytical and strategic approach to communication strategy.
Knowledge and experience with various storytelling and monitoring platforms.
Excellent communication skills across a variety of mediums (written, visual, verbal, and presentation).
Strong judgement and comfort level working with sensitive information, as well as an uncompromised commitment to the highest level of confidentiality.
Self-motivated with a strong performance driven attitude, willing to execute day-to-day tasks as well as developing strategies and project plans.
Ability to work in collaboration with Unity staff and community members.
A desire to research, learn about new things, identify creative solutions, and take an idea and grow it into something long lasting and impactful.
