After School Program Site Coordinator

NOW HIRING FOR FALL 2023! This position is a part of our Community Engagement department and will report to an offsite location and requires Monday - Thursday availability, 2:
00 - 6:
00 PM.
This role that works with the LOOP Program, which provides elementary and middle school kids a safe, fun place to learn about themselves and the world around them.
LOOP is free in the Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) and offers academic support (tutoring, homework assistance, etc.
) by certified teachers.
The program also has an array of virtual youth enrichment activities including recreation, arts, and cultural activities, virtual field trips, and more.
Loop is funded by the 21st Century Grant.
The YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids currently oversees nine Loop site in the GRPS schools.

POSITION SUMMARYThe Site Coordinator supervises day-to-day operations of the school site and for staff, children, and parents of the Loop program.
This position requires face-to-face leadership in this program and may involve early morning and evening responsibilities.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES Assist with implementation of the LOOP program and activities Schedules vendors, field trips and other YMCA Enrichment programs Provides monthly lesson plans to the Program Director Provides on-site supervision of the programs Assists in managing licensing folders Maintains adequate rosters for program and makes periodic reports Assists in recruiting, orientating, and enrolling children/families to the programs Confers with parents regarding facility activities, policies, and enrollment procedures Confers with staff regarding child's behavioral or learning problems, and recommends methods of modifying inappropriate behavior and encouraging learning experiences Arranges medical attention for ill or injured child in accordance with parental instructions Performs classroom teaching duties during absence of LOOP assistant teacher Ensures the safety of all Loop participants by enforcing safety standards and following emergency procedures Swims with children during swim lessons Manages 2-10 program staff Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Association's policies and applicable laws Audits timesheets Assists with annual performance reviews Supports the Association in recruitment of diverse employees and volunteers Plans, assigns, and directs work; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems Performs any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand RapidsCOMPENSATION$16.

Must be 19 years of age or older.
Past supervision experience preferred.
Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages and lifestyles.
Ability and desire to work with children 5-15 years of age.
Working knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of software applications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
