The eCommerce Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing online sales and customer experience.
Expertise in sales forecasting, sales data analysis, digital marketing, and e-commerce strategies are instrumental in identifying opportunities for growth and enhancing a company's online revenue.
As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate cross-functionally to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities of the eCommerce Business Analyst:
Utilize historical and current data trends to create sales forecasts and projections to help guide business planning and budgeting.
Analyze sales and compile updated business sales/revenue budgets and updated sales/revenue forecasts.
Monitor and support inventory management and replenishment.
Analyze inventory levels, pricing strategies, and product performance to optimize inventory turnover and maximize profitability.
Monitoring and analyzing e-commerce metrics and figures.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to website traffic, user behavior, and online sales to uncover insights and trends.
Transforming e-commerce data into operational insights.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, revenue, and customer acquisition costs to assess the effectiveness of online campaigns and strategies.
Evaluate the performance of digital marketing channels, including SEO, PPC advertising, email marketing, and social media, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and web development teams to develop and execute e-commerce strategies that drive growth and enhance the customer experience.
Prepare and present regular reports and dashboards to communicate findings and insights to cross-functional teams and management.
Conduct competitive analysis to identify market trends, benchmark against competitors, and recommend strategies to gain a competitive edge.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business analysis, and share knowledge within the organization.
Preferred Skills of the eCommerce Business Analyst:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field.
3 years of proven experience as an Ecommerce Analyst or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of data-driven achievements.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including Excel, SQL, data visualization tools, and statistical analysis.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, web analytics tools (e.
g.
, Google Analytics), and digital marketing channels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex data findings to diverse teams.
Knowledge of e-commerce best practices, online consumer behavior, and industry trends.
Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methodologies is a plus.
Proficiency in using business analysis tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, or other similar tools, for requirement management and collaboration.
