This is a contract to hire position on first shift in Hudsonville. (will start around 20 hours per week, with more hours a progress continues)
Develop plant layouts, work instructions, process flow layout, set-up procedures while adhering to safety, quality and productivity procedures and policies
Roles and
Responsibilities:
? Strong representative for Production team in planning and implementation
? Strong team leader for Kaizen, improvement and efficiency programs
? Conduct time and method studies establishing time standards for manufacturing operations.
? Provide Industrial Engineering support to all manufacturing, warehouse, sourcing and engineering operations through the application of lean manufacturing/Kaizen principles.
? Develop and maintain time studies, line balancing and ergonomic information to support production requirements
? Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
? Recommend, support, and implement continuous process improvements
Qualifications:
? Must have Kaizen knowledge and production efficiency improvement skills
? Knowledge of value stream mapping
? Must demonstrate strong verbal and written skills as well as the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and management
? Strong ability to manage time effectively along with strong organizational and presentation skills
? Proficient knowledge of MS OfficeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
