Human Resources Lead
Summary:
This individual will manage day to day operations and administration of all human resources policies, procedures, and programs in a manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity to continue your career as an HR generalist and work in the a variety of functional HR areas, including but not limited to, benefits and compensation, employee relations, compliance, health and safety, recruitment, and HRIS.
Responsibilities:oManage the day to day human resources operations and administration in a 24x7 manufacturing plant; execute company HR policies and strategies at the plant level
oDrive employee engagement efforts and promote a positive culture in the plant by recommending, implementing, and supporting employee relations practices and procedures and acting as a business partner to managers, supervisors, and employees
oCoordinate recruiting efforts and lead the new hire onboarding and orientation process
oAdvise supervisors and managers on performance counseling and progressive discipline
oOversee the corporate internship program and assist with project development, coaching, and mentoring for interns at the plant
oProvide advice, assistance, and follow-up on plant policies, procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with all existing federal and state regulations
oAct as the plant subject matter expert on workers' compensation, providing case management for active claims and coordinating with plant supervisors to ensure restrictions are met and lost time is minimized
oOversee attendance tracking system, performance documentation process, and HRIS
oProvide day to day benefits administration services and act as the plant subject matter expert on the company benefits program
Qualifications:oBachelor's degree in business, human resource management, organizational development, or a related field required; PHR certification preferred
oMinimum of 3 - 5 years of broad based HR experience required
oManufacturing industry experience required
oStrong knowledge of federal and state employment law and HR best practices
oAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and diverse populations
oAbility to support a 24x7 manufacturing operation, including holiday and weekend coverage if needed
